Hi groovers!

Lisa H Sorensen (aka East Coast Lisa) here. I am a humorist, writer, podcaster (co-host of Yack it up with Lisa and Lisa at www.yackitupshow.com ), blogger, artist, wife of Dan Dan the Pie Man, in charge of the cutest momma in the world, and an all-around weirdo.

I popped out of my mother on the 17th day of December in 1962 on the Island of Aruba. The sun was coming up. The sky was cerulean. The view from the 6th-floor delivery room was the Caribbean Sea and my guess is, while upside down getting my tiny ass whacked, I opened one eye and saw the beautiful water and said to myself “not bad, I think I will stay”.

I have been aging hysterically ever since.

I figure we have a few choices “to get through this thing called life” (as WC Lisa’s fav Prince preached): laugh hysterically, cry hysterically or float somewhere in between.

The life we have been given, no matter how tough, can always be softened with a dose of humor. I know for sure that humor has saved me. Saved my life. Even in my darkest days, black comedy has been alive and well.

So as we all march in the same direction, keep your eyeballs open to the joy, the beauty, and the funny. We are all (shhhhh) aging.
